Sources and editorial policy

Each guide separates general questions to ask from procedures published for a particular city, provider or service. A process described for one hospital is an example for that hospital.

Sources

We prioritise government service pages and official hospital, clinic, insurer and payment-provider information. App download links point to official stores or provider websites. Provider information describes that provider’s services; it does not establish a nationwide rule. Sources appear alongside the relevant information or at the end of the page.

What a source check means

A source-check date records when the linked public information was reviewed for the guide. It does not mean that an appointment was made, a phone line was tested or a hospital confirmed the information directly.

The guides are based on published information. They have not been tested through a patient booking or attendance. Payment instructions have not been tested with a real passport, bank card or purchase by WellInChina. We distinguish a published setup route from a successful transaction. No medical-review badge is used.

Conditions and gaps

Language support, foreign-document registration, phone-number requirements and insurance arrangements must be checked separately. When a source does not settle a question, the guide tells readers to confirm it. English reception, an English-speaking clinician and an English report are different services.

Updates and corrections

Dates change when the relevant material is checked or the guide is substantially revised. A formatting change alone does not count as a new source check. Fees, promotional offers, supported cards and app menus can change; the current provider terms and payment screen apply to a transaction. You can report an inaccurate link or instruction with the page URL and the supporting public source.

Provider listings

A link or listing identifies an information source. It does not rank clinical quality, guarantee availability or establish a referral relationship. Any future paid placement or commercial relationship should be clearly disclosed beside the affected content.
